In recent years, regional revitalization and rural regional development have become a global trend, not only driving many partners who care about rural development to return to their hometowns to work, but also forming a new regional innovation governance movement. In the process of this rural regional development, we have deeply discovered that regional revitalization cannot only be based on enthusiasm, but also the understanding of cross-disciplinary issues such as politics, economy, society, culture and ethnicity in rural areas, and the construction of social network connections and partnerships, as well as the ability training and application of social design, are extremely important skills to participate in the work of regional revitalization and rural area development. To balance the regional development and to meet the needs of the day to cultivate interdisciplinary professional talents in rural areas, we have invited scholars and experts from cross-disciplinary fields such as local governance, social work, business management, information management, culture and art, tourism and leisure to jointly organize this master's degree program. Taking the Shuishalian area as the field of action and research, it focuses on cultural rejuvenation, industrial innovation, ecological conservation, social care and other diverse issues, and adopts a four-stage curriculum design of basic theory, practical methods, knowledge application, and field practice. The Problem-based Learning (PBL) problem-solving orientation and AI knowledge application are integrated into the teaching of the course, and we hope to cultivate elite talents with "cross-domain mobility, social innovation, and hometown practice" for regional revitalization and social practice.
